Most frequent questions and answers
Your housekeeper will bring their own products and cloths. Our cloths are colour coordinated for maximum hygiene. We do ask you however to ensure toilet brushes and toilet cleaner are provided for each of your bathrooms/ WC. We can use your vacuum and mop or are happy to use our own.
We will be sure to give you a time slot that fits nicely into your day, and can always be flexible to work around your needs. Likewise, our housekeepers are busy bees going from home to home, and should there be any delays due to traffic or schedules, we’ll be sure to communicate with you promptly.
Yes. H&H can hold a spare key for you or you may prefer to leave one somewhere safe, such as a key safe. If it is a one-off clean, you will need to be there to let your housekeeper in but you can ask them to lock the door behind them when they leave and post the keys back through your letterbox if needed. Many of our clients find it convenient.
Yes. We can wash up dishes or load the dishwasher, put away clean dishes and tidy up where needed. Please bear in mind that this may mean your housekeeper will not be able to clean all your rooms. If you would like this on a regular basis though, we are happy to increase the time of your visits.
For safety reasons, your Housekeeper should not be expected to:
- Lift or move heavy items
- Clean surfaces outside of normal reach
- Clean any exterior windows, garages or patios
- Clean heavily soiled areas, including animal litter
- Defrost freezers or unblock pipes
- Remove mould, animal litter or pet mess
Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. We do not work on Bank or Public Holidays unless organised in advance.
You pay an hourly rate and the length of your clean is based on the size of your home and/or your preferences which we are happy to discuss. You can have as many hours as you like, our minimum visit is two hours.
We cover Canford Cliffs, Sandbanks, Bournemouth, Barton-on-Sea, Milford-on-Sea, Pennington and Lymington. We are happy to consider other areas.
Yes you can, up until 16:00 on the previous day, without any change. After this time if you need to amend or cancel, or if your housekeeper arrives and cannot gain entry, you will be charged the full price of the clean.
